I’ve just finished watching Battle Through the Heavens Season 5, and I have to say—it was absolutely intense!
The buildup since Season 4 finally paid off. From the moment Xiao Yan returned to the Jia Ma Empire, everything felt more mature and emotional. The clash with Yun Shan and the fall of Misty Cloud Sect were highlights of the season for me.
The animation quality was on another level compared to the earlier seasons. I really appreciated the detailed fight choreography, especially during the final episodes. You can tell they put a lot more effort into the production this time.
Also, Medusa is back! Her scenes with Xiao Yan were some of the most interesting moments, and I’m curious where their relationship will go in the next season.
But not everything was perfect—some parts felt a bit rushed, and a few side characters didn’t get enough screen time.
